Chief Bank and BELTEI International University Forge Partnership Through ‘Chief Easy’ Digital Lending Platform

Chief Bank and BELTEI International University have entered a strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on 08 August 2024, and the collaboration focuses on "Chief Easy," a leading digital micro-lending platform aimed at enhancing financial accessibility in Cambodia.

Chief Easy leverages the growing trend of digital banking in Cambodia. The platform allows users to apply for loans conveniently from any location, anytime and guarantees responses within 24 hours on working days. Initially approved by the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) in 2021, the app was authorized to offer digital micro-loans up to $1,000. After strong support from our clients, this limit was increased to $5,000 following an upgrade approved in 2022 by our regulator, enabling the platform to better meet customer needs.

Chief Easy Supporting Students and Their Families

Chief Easy exemplifies our commitment to providing accessible financial services, particularly to the unbanked and underbanked populations in Cambodia. Our collaboration with BELTEI International University allows us to reach a broader audience and support students and their families in overcoming financial challenges.

BELTEI International University would support the promotion and adoption of Chief Easy among its student body and their families. Special provisions within the partnership enable students, parents, and guardians to access digital micro-loans up to $5,000, specifically tailored to assist with educational expenses and other financial needs.
